we’re three sisters who’ve always made things with our hands. it’s how we grew up, how we stay close, and how we make sense of the world. even though we ended up in different places, creating has always brought us back to each other. basta is the space that holds that - where we make, share, and keep the connection alive.
we work between Berlin and Vilnius, shaping objects that carry something personal. we’re drawn to everyday beauty - the imperfect, the handmade, the things that feel lived-in.
everything we create is made slowly, intentionally, and by people. no factories, no shortcuts. just real hands, real time, and a lot of care.

why basta
we always knew we’d create something together - we just didn’t know what exactly. but we always knew what it would be called: basta. it’s a shortened version of our last name, and it’s what our friends used to call us (some still do). it stuck - and now it holds everything we’ve built together. it also comes from the lithuanian word bastytis (verb) - to wander without a set destination; to roam aimlessly. and that’s exactly what we do. we move, we explore, we collect moments, places, and feelings - and somehow, they always make their way into what we create.
wandering is how we live. Berlin, Vilnius, New York, London, somewhere in between, somewhere completely new - it’s all part of the process. basta is home for that process. for the movement, the stories, the objects, and the feeling of being a little bit everywhere, but always connected.

materials and process
materials matter to us - not just what they are, but how they feel, where they come from, and how they change over time. we work with precious metals like silver and gold, natural stones like sapphires, emeralds, rubies, and diamonds. each one is carefully chosen and set by hand, one by one.
everything we make is shaped by hand - by us or by the people close to us. there’s no assembly line, no factory floor, no shortcuts. just tools, time, and a lot of quiet focus.
we work between Berlin and Vilnius, crafting each piece slowly and intentionally. whether it starts as wax, metal, or a vague idea sketched on the back of a receipt, we follow it where it wants to go. every mark, every curve, every slight imperfection makes the object what it is - one of a kind, made to be held, worn, or passed on.
